CTL PRIME Drives New NBD-Dnata MasterCard

National Bank of Dubai (NBD) in the UAE has successfully launched a new innovative co-branded MasterCard credit card product using CTL PRIME solution. NBD has partnered with Dnata, to provide its credit card holders with a unique combination of premium banking services and Dnata's wide range of services, products and expertise.

Since its launch in mid-March, the NBD-Dnata MasterCard credit card has seen a swift take-up; the co-branded card enables cardholders to earn reward points every time they use their card, anywhere in the world. Accumulated points can be redeemed at selected Dnata outlets for products or services, including tickets at more than 130 airlines and exotic holiday packages.

Edith Kessler-Charalambous, GM, Business Expansion, CTL, said, “Co-branding is becoming an increasingly popular strategy for issuing banks wanting to access new customer segments and revenue streams. A number of our clients are adopting this strategy and taking advantage of our systems support and flexibility to issue and process their co-branded card products. The NBD-Dnata MasterCard credit card is a perfect example of how a bank can use CTL systems to capitalize on market opportunity whilst at the same time offering exciting new benefits to its customers.”

Suvo Sarkar, Head of Retail Banking, NBD, added, “The successful roll-out of the NBD-Dnata card owes much to the ease with which CTL’s PRIME card management system supports the introduction of new and innovative card products. Defining the parameters of the card’s rewards programme was also greatly enhanced by CTL’s flexible rewards module which enabled a quick time-to-market.”
