Sagem Orga Receives SmartTrust Certification
Sagem Orga's 128K SIMply ON and 128K SIMply SMART WIB cards (formerly known under the name (U)SIMtelligence WIB 1.3) have won SmartTrust WIB 1.3 (Level 2) certification in a single pass.
The 128K SIMply ON WIB and the 128K SIMply SMART WIB cards achieved interoperability with the SmartTrust product suite via the Smart Trust Certified programme. SmartTrust WIB technology has become a de facto standard in the mobile industry, with most major SIM card manufacturers certifying their WIB cards via the SmartTrust certification programme.
The standard offers a common interface that enables applications to be developed quickly and cost-efficiently via a development environment that is independent of card type and mobile terminal. Mobile operators can utilize the SmartTrust Certified SIM cards to dynamically manage their subscribers' handsets and access to value-added data services OTA.
“To achieve the certification in a single pass is another proof of the quality of Sagem Orga's development work,” said Jean-Christophe Tisseuil, Head, Product Marketing Telco, Sagem Orga.
Certification of further products to complete the product line is currently in preparation.
